About me

Marcel Dorian is a London based classically trained actor, producer and director. He is of mixed nationalities and boasts a colorful background. He is well-travelled and speaks English, Hungarian, Romanian and some Italian. After receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and practicing as a trainee lawyer, he fell in love with movie making.


His first short film that he produced and directed, “Mr. Big Man Hollywood” was screened at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival, Short Film Section. Following this, he trained as an actor in both Romania and Italy via the Erasmus Programme. He also worked on plays in Italy and France.


In 2011 he produced another short film “I’m afraid” and has had the opportunity to act in plays, short films, feature films as well as music videos.  


In 2016 he worked on 2 independent British dramas “I am Hooligan” and “Undercover Hooligan” and in 2017 he took on the role of Nico in “In Humans We Trust” which was screened at the BAFTA Theatre in London and was in the official selection for the British Urban Film Festival 2017. 


In 2018 he started a production company, along with his partner in crime and wife Gabriela Brinza, called “Flying Mobula Films Ltd” whose first big project, a feature film called “Introspectum Motel” is currently available on most major platforms.


He’s also shared the screen in featured roles with Scarlet Johansson and Florence Pugh in the 2021 Marvel movie “Black Widow”, with Tcheky Karyo and Fiona Shaw in the second season of the detective series “Baptiste” and with Ben Whishaw in the medical drama “This Is Going to Hurt” released in 2022.
